For more than one hundred years, railway post offices crisscrossed Colorado carrying the mail, including letters to Santa.
This holiday season, the Colorado Railroad Museum’s Santa Claus Special will be delivering letters to Santa. Kids can drop off their letter to Santa in the railway post office car and receive a special keepsake.
The Santa Claus Special is Saturday, December 7, Saturday and Sunday, December 14 and 15 and Saturday, December 21 from 9:00AM – 5:00PM. The train departs every 30 minutes between 10:00AM and 4:00PM.
Children will want to bring their wish list to share with Santa and Mrs. Claus and then enjoy hot chocolate by the Depot General Store—where they’ll find a generous supply of railroad toys and a huge selection of Thomas the Tank Engine gifts.
Cost is $5.00 for children (under 2 are free), $15.00 for adults, $30 for families (two adults and up to five children) and $10 for seniors (over 60).
