Tony Audino of Highlands Ranch capped his prep career off in style.
The shortstop/pitcher for the Falcons finished the 2012 season with a .452 batting average, 33 hits and 19 RBIs. On the mound, he had a 0.91 ERA in 53.2 innings of work.
He allowed just 51 hits and seven earned runs on the year.
Those impressive statistics helped Audino earn the Continental League’s Pitcher and Player of the Year awards. He was one of four players from Highlands Ranch selected to the first team.
Regis Jesuit, which reached the Class 5A state semifinals, also had four first team selections.
