Be flexible

Nancy Levinson wants to help people be bendy.
Levinson teaches yoga for all ages and levels at NamasteWorks
and for seniors at the WindCrest community.
She teaches chair yoga for two sessions at the Highlands Ranch
library Jan. 24.
Levinson’s teaching focuses on people age 50 to 90. Chair yoga
allows people who might not be able to get on the floor to work
out.
Using breath and some stretches, chair yoga will stretch the
spine and open it up six ways.
“People can stimulate their bodies on an airplane, at their desk
or in a car,” Levenson said.
The classes are part of Yoga Day USA, when thousands of American
will assume the asana and practice yoga.
The classes are at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the library, 9292
Ridgeline Blvd.
This wellness class for seniors makes poses accessible and
improves flexibility and mobility for older adults. Registration is
required. To book your spot, stop by the library, call
303-791-READ, or visit the Programs & Events calendar at
DouglasCountyLibraries.org.
