I am writing to encourage the community to consider fostering a homeless dog or cat.
For more than a year, I have had the pleasure of working as a volunteer foster parent with the Animal Rescue of the Rockies.
This organization saves animals who are on death row in shelters across Colorado and beyond.
The families who foster with us take the animals into their homes and help them to become acclimated to family life so that they are more adoptable.
Sometimes animals cannot deal with shelter life and develop behavioral issues that might prevent them from ever being adopted.
If you have some extra space in your heart, reach out and help this excellent organization.
You will be so happy when you see the wonderful endings that occur before your eyes when your foster dog or cat finds that perfect furrever home! In addition, ARR can use volunteers to help transport animals, temporary foster homes, veterinary appointments, administrative duties and many other efforts.
Please apply today to help this deserving organization! (All medical expenses are paid by ARR, so the foster does not incur that.
All money you spend fostering — including gas mileage and pet food — is fully tax deductible as ARR is a nonprofit organization.) You can make a difference!
