The Littleton Police Department closed South Santa Fe Drive for part of Tuesday afternoon in both directions near the Mineral Avenue light rail station due to a bomb threat to a light rail train. At about 4:30 p.m., a City of Littleton spokeswoman said Santa Fe was reopened in both directions after a bomb-sniffing dog did not find anything.
Southbound Santa Fe Drive was closed at Mineral Avenue and northbound Santa Fe Drive was closed at County Line Road. Light rail train traffic was not affected.
A light rail train was being held at the end of the line pending the search by bomb-sniffing dogs, which ultimately found no explosives.
