Also, how is it that Ms. Morgan defines decreases in tcap scores of less than 3% "not statistically significant", yet an increase of just 1% in science scores is "remarkable"? It's all spin and inaccuracies, designed to detract from the major problems the School Board has created in our district. Don't take their words at face value. Research and find accurate information yourselves, voters. Strong Schools Coalition is a great place to start.
Has an analysis been done that addresses achievement gaps among at risk students?
According to Ms. Morgan, the inflated results that the District put out the first time included only the students who are currently enrolled in the District. Are we to believe that Douglas County managed to "lose" a significant number of low performing students between March and August which bumped the district scores up a few points higher than the previous 4 years? Where did these low performing students disappear to?
