Douglas County ranks sixth on wealth list

With a median household income nearly double the national average, Douglas County made it to No. 6 on a list of the nation’s wealthiest counties, published by MSN Money.

The list, based on 2010 Census figures, showcased the 15 counties with the highest median household incomes. The lowest figure, about $87,000, was well above the national average of $49,445, at a time when the national average income declined by 2.3 percent.
