Former Ute Pass Courier and Cripple Creek Gold Rush newspaper editor Larry Ferguson will open “For the Record: Small Town Newspaper Photography” on April 20 at Live Art Gallery, 205 Canon Ave. in Manitou Springs. The Ute Pass Courier and Gold Rush are now combined in the Pikes Peak Courier View.

The exhibit features a variety of Ferguson’s news, sports and feature photos, many of them award-winners in Colorado Press Association competitions. Ferguson also is a former editor for the Pikes Peak Journal in Manitou Springs. He currently works as a writer/photographer at the Pikes Peak Bulletin in Manitou Springs.

A reception marking the exhibit’s opening is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 20. It is free and open to the public. The show will continue through May 15. For information, call 719-646-3623 or 719-439-6273, or email lsferguson@comcast.net
