Arias’ career comes to close at state

For Cameron Arias, the Class 4A state wrestling tournament was a strange case of “hurry up and wait.”

Arias, a senior at Woodland Park High School, arrived at the Pepsi Center ready to roll when the tournament’s opening rounds were set to begin Thursday morning. But Arias’ game plan was abruptly put on hold when his first-round opponent in the 132-pound division, Roosevelt’s Adam Cary, failed to make weight.
