I think Rick Gillit said it best. The Parson's will most likely do a great job with the depot but selling city land that is defined as a park multiple times in the 2006 Master Park Plan for $30,000, without a vote from the citizens as per the City Charter is wrong. The city attorney is guiding the council to use a loophole to deny citizens their right to vote on selling park land. It is dishonest. It's also a bad deal for the city since the land alone has to be worth more then the $30,000 that the council is willing to sell it for.
