Congratulations! It's good that there are solid anchors like this in the fast-turnover WPK restaurant industry.9 months ago
Who is running the clerk's office now?10 months ago
Good ole gal Lewis fired? That's a good start. "Second (in charge) down, one to go."
Hope the SoS will stir the pot and prompt a housecleaning - not necessarily confined to the Clerk's office.Jun 23, 2012
Pat - if I made a crack as sexist as your headline at home I would be severely chastised. Congrats to the young lady and kudos to her teacher.

with Wommack and Eric Smith developments pending, it seems funny the commission after all this time is now pushing to get through council by the election. Feb 24, 2012
I share Mr Barron's concerns. Too bad our Planning Commission and Council (at least the majority) are blinded by the light of an economic windfall that they hope will bring the community vast wealth in sales tax and local business patronage. Never mind that the largely tax-exempt developer will create substantial demand for resources and services.
According to their federal tax return, Wommack Ministries depends on contributions for 94% of its revenue. What happens if that dries up as have other ministries in Colorado Springs? Their lenders would then have to take over, and who knows what might happen to the newly-annexed and approved property?
The good old boys and girls of WPK are in total denial of the views of many residents & neighbors (including the Mayor) who cited the small, quiet mountain town character as a reason to deny the petition.
Go to the council meeting next week!Jan 5, 2012
I'd be interested in knowing the members of the citizens committee appointed by Ensminger.Dec 27, 2011
Balmer's "causes" sound like the dogma of all the right wingers. Why do we need any of these people in our legislature? After they've been elected why not let their votes be cast by a computer program based on the current thinking of their political constituency (which is NOT the taxpayers)? None of them call on any individual thought or reason - the compensation, staffs and office space and transportation consumed by "representatives" like Balmer are low-hanging fruit - tax dollars spent for absolutely no incremental value.Dec 15, 2011
"...two men out to reduce the number of coyotes in Pike National Forest " ??
These second amendment ejaculates who go out to kill non-game species for recreation are sick wackos. Why not just torch the neighborhood cat? What a great community we live in. Dec 14, 2011
"Energy update"? I don't think so. More of the same political dogma we've become accustomed to hearing from IREA officials.Dec 3, 2011
