Let's also keep in mind the impact of dietary sugars literally gunk up intercellular communication. So, not only does sugar increase tooth decay by promoting greater acid environment, sugar also creates 'static' for our body's ability to communicate with itself. Therefore, sugar is a major culprit for a breakdown in oral health from within the mouth as well as a system wide immune suppressant.
