I was also present at this meeting and the mom in question, if this was you, was NOT at the back of the room. I personally watched the event as she got up from her seat and went toward the back of the room only after staff was attempting to exit from the row on the other side of the seating from this person. She also got up and left her belongings at the seat in the row behind me and came back to her seat where her belongings had been left after the incident.
Again, the irony is interesting - the contract being discussed had nothing to do with inBloom. The story should be truthful regardless of the position.2 months ago
I used to know Ms. Noonan and used to have a great deal of respect for her, I say “used to” because there is not an inkling of similarity in her new personality. Unfortunately, her interests are no longer about serving the children and schools in Jefferson County from what I’ve witnessed from her at meetings and in person.
I have witnessed Ms. Noonan’s increasingly dramatic and inappropriate behavior, her inability to make a coherent statement in board meetings, and her increased need for attention and desire to combat anyone who disagrees with her on any subject since her arrest earlier this year. The person who formerly could be contacted to engage in meaningful dialogue and exploration on any subject pertaining to our kids, is now a person who will call others “stupid” behind their backs and attacks others in writing if they don’t do what she wants them to do or don't agree with her. My eight year old knows better than to act in this way!
Unfortunately, Ms. Noonan has decided to utilize her negative energy to attack inBloom, a new technology being explored to help the teachers and children of Jeffco Schools. Ms. Noonan has published inaccuracies and misleading information in a variety of locations, preying on the fears of parents and our desire to keep our children safe. Beyond upsetting parents with inaccurate information, Ms. Noonan has upset a variety of parents and teachers in support of inBloom and inferred that those serving as volunteers on the DMAC committee are not qualified to evaluate such a system, alienating a larger group of parents and IT security business professionals within our community.
I am very dismayed at her willingness to prey upon fears and publish inaccurate and misleading information. Though I am impressed and intrigued by this new technology and the potential value it could provide to my child’s teacher as well as to myself in my daughter’s education, inBloom should and will be explored fully, along with all security concerns, before I make my final decision on supporting this platform.
At this point Ms. Noonan is not about the kids. Ego and anger is the title subject of every article, speech, and event – the children that matter have been forgotten. I miss the former Ms. Noonan, the new branding that seems to be mad at everyone who doesn’t fall in line with whatever she wants is less than pleasing.
As for Ms. Boggs, my husband and I voted for her though at that point we didn’t go to board meetings. We saw her political affiliation and checked the box – we assumed she’d be someone with values similar to ours. Long story, short - censure, censure, circus show….I’m sorry to everyone in Jeffco, I made a mistake. Enough said.
If you want the real facts about inBloom or the board, Ms. Noonan isn’t the source to go to and if she feels picked on – I wish she’d remember that this is supposed to be ABOUT THE KIDS!

I always think it's disappointing to see people who have concerns who don't go about fixing or addressing them in the proper manner - does it really do any good to complain to a gas station attendant about the price of gasoline? Nope - and it doesn't do any good to whine about PERA to a school board, talk to your legislators.
The only person I see who continually doesn't listen to the community is actually Boggs. She has her tiny group of friends, most of whom don't live in Jeffco, who are just plain anti-tax, anti-government, anti-collaboration and pro-tea drinking. As a Republican, I voted for Boggs; I am disappointed that the only folks she listens to are the extremists. I appreciate conservative but I also would rather that she focus on what's best for kids and collaborative thinking. Enough with personal agendas...Aug 17, 2012
I have a 7-year-old daughter and can't afford to have services for her cut any further than they already have been - $78 million dollars just since 2009 with another $45 million in cuts coming for 2013/2014.
My daughter started learning to play the violin in 1st grade because of the amazing efforts by our Jeffco Schools music teacher. The joy my child experiences from mastering the songs she is learning and realizing that my child is playing the works of Bach and Mozart is an incredible experience for our entire extended family. It is only through violin that my daughter has gained increased focus which has helped her in her other studies. The thought of losing these instrumental programs and talented music teachers for elementary school children is horrid and so is losing a librarian, instructional coach, assistant principal, custodian, etc.
I applaud Big Head Todd and the Monsters for realizing the impact Jeffco Schools and the music program made on their lives and for supporting Jeffco Schools! I am behind them all the way! www.supportjeffcoschools.com!Jul 12, 2012
Every district, every home, every person has opportunities to continually look for ways to improve and save money - so true, but when the state issues cause Jeffco students to continually lose money (amounting to $63 million in the past few years) and give Jeffco students LESS than the state per pupil funding average, our district can't continually take decreases. For 2013/2014 we will need to cut another $45 million according to what the STATE is telling our schools - and those cuts will directly cause issues for students, there's no way around it.
DIRECT from CDE due to the equalization our state has in place, for Jeffco, we get reduced again to $6308.92 per pupil (less than the state average!) and then others like Pawnee in Weld County will receive $15,098.72 per pupil. THIS Republican and many other Republicans are voting YES on 3A and 3B - even while we want improvement and accountability, we also know that defunding our district and keeping our educators hands tied behind their backs will hurt our children now and in the future.
